Featherweight Shakur Stevenson, a 2016 U.S. Olympic silver medalist and one of boxing’s elite prospects, is in need of a new opponent for his Top Rank Boxing on ESPN 10-round main event on July 13. Initial opponent, the unbeaten Hairon Socarras, is out of the fight over various issues, according to Top Rank, which is in the process of securing a new foe for what will be Stevenson’s first professional fight in his hometown, at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
