Today, Phoenix Raceway installed one of the highest steel beams as part of the Phoenix Raceway Project Powered by DC Solar along with its partner Okland Construction. NASCAR Hall of Fame driver Rusty Wallace, longtime Phoenix Raceway season ticket holders and government officials joined Okland Construction team members and Phoenix Raceway staff to celebrate this important milestone in the project. Attendees and workers left their mark on Phoenix Raceway history by signing the steel beam before it was hoisted into the air. The topping out of the $178 million modernization project marks approximately one year until the completion of the upgraded venue.(Phoenix Raceway)

Heavy rains overnight and throughout the morning combined with track conditions in the afternoon to wash out Day 3 of the 2017 NASCAR Drive for Diversity Combine presented by Honda Generators. The 12 participants competing for a spot on the 2018 Rev Racing roster were slated to take laps in the team's NASCAR K&N Pro Series cars. The early end to the session, however, did not adversely affect the evaluation process. Drivers took part in media and physical assessment at Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona on Monday, and each of them got two sessions in a Late Model Stock Car Tuesday at New Smyrna Speedway.(NASCAR)

This weekend will be #32-Matt DiBenedetto's 100th race in the top series of NASCAR. DiBenedetto made his first Cup Series start in 2015 and has recorded three top-10's, two of which were this season. His average finish in 2015 was 32nd and he has seen that statistic improve this year with Go Fas Racing where his average finish is 27th - a huge feat for a smaller team. With DiBenedetto re-signed through 2018, the team will continue to grow throughout the offseason and will look to improve their average finish up into the top-25.(Go Fas Racing)
