Oklahoma St. extends Boynton through '23-24

Oklahoma State has given coach Mike Boynton an extension on the heels of his first season at the helm, which saw the Cowboys narrowly miss the NCAA tournament after being tabbed to finish last in the Big 12 in the preseason.

Western Kentucky with a huge win at Oklahoma State, and now advances to New York for semifinals of the NIT. ‪Had their games at the Battle 4 Atlantis back in November in wins against Purdue and SMU with a very limited roster. They also played Villanova tough. I have attended Rick Stansbury's practices and came away impressed with his game plans and how he gets the most out of his kids. He has done a terrific job.

Fighting to get off the NCAA Tournament bubble, Oklahoma State is in an up-and-down shootout with Kansas. Hot-shooting Malik Newman has 20 first-half points for the Jayhawks, but the Cowboys are hanging tough, pounding KU inside with the Jayhawks missing starting center Udoka Azubuike. The Cowboys are trying to become the first team to defeat Kansas three times in a season since 1983.
