Dayton Flyers forward Obi Toppin capped his magical sophomore season Tuesday, when he was announced as the winner of the John R. Wooden Award over Iowa's Luka Garza. Toppin also won the Naismith and Associated Press national player of the year awards.

The positional awards for the 2019-20 college basketball season went to Villanova small forward Saddiq Bey, Iowa center Luka Garza, Seton Hall shooting guard Myles Powell, Oregon point guard Payton Pritchard and Dayton power forward Obi Toppin.
