Dodgers' Bellinger exits early due to sore knee

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Cody Bellinger has been nursing a sore knee, manager Dave Roberts said Wednesday.

Bellinger missed Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks in Arizona and came out after the sixth inning Wednesday with what was characterized as a mild case of left knee tendinitis.

Bellinger had hit a home run, his 26th of the season, earlier in the game. The Dodgers won 8-3.

Roberts said he took Bellinger out to save him for Thursday's game against the Rockies in Colorado.
