The PFL will announce its first annual awards program Wednesday. Fans, media, fighters and the league will vote, culminating in a March awards show on ESPN+, officials said. The categories will be for best fighter (one each for men and women), fight, knockout, submission and professional, plus 'holy s--- moment,' most improved, toughest and on notice (fighter to watch in 2020).
Karolina Kowalkiewicz says on Instagram that she broke a bone near her eye and needs surgery following her UFC Auckland loss to Yan Xiaonan. "First time in my life after fight I cannot say that I'm OK," Kowalkiewicz said. The Poland native said she experienced double vision in the fight and has to stay in New Zealand for now because of the injury. Kowalkiewicz has dropped four straight.
Paul Felder, on his Instagram story, said he’ll hopefully only be in the hospital overnight. Though he said his face is “definitely broken" following his UFC Auckland loss to Dan Hooker. Felder: "I can't tell what my face looks like right now, but it doesn’t look good. I feel like I kind of look like Action Bronson?"
