Former Colts cornerback Vontae Davis is making a free-agent visit to the Bills on Thursday, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Davis, 29, was recently cleared from core-injury surgery done late last season. Indianapolis released him Nov. 9 and he spent the rest of the season recovering. Davis has started 112 career games and if signed would project to start opposite Tre'Davious White, with incumbent starter E.J. Gaines scheduled for unrestricted free agency in March.

The Bills on Wednesday hired Nate Breske as their head athletic trainer, Luis Guilamo as director of analytics and application development, and Jeff Mueller as video director. They replace Shone Gipson, Michael Lyons and Greg Estes, who were all dismissed from the same respective roles this offseason. The staff changes have been part of a large-scale retooling of the Bills' front office and football support staff since Sean McDermott took over as coach a year ago, with more than two dozen staff members no longer with the team.

The Bills on Tuesday hired Terry Robiskie as wide receivers coach. The longtime NFL assistant coach spent the past two seasons as the Titans' offensive coordinator. He replaces Phil McGeoghan, who was hired Tuesday by the Chargers for the same role. A source said McGeoghan and the Bills came to a "mutual" decision to let him out of his contract for the lateral move.

The Bills changed assistant defensive backs coach Bobby Babich's title to safeties coach. That is notable in light of coach Sean McDermott surprisingly replacing defensive backs coach Gill Byrd with John Butler this offseason, and suggests Butler might have more of a focus on cornerbacks.

The Bills hired former Alabama analyst Shea Tierney as an offensive assistant, according to the Bills' website. Tierney joins William Vlachos, also an offensive assistant, in analysts following offensive coordinator Brian Daboll from Alabama to Buffalo this offseason. Like Bills coach Sean McDermott, Tierney has spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles.
