Few interesting notes from today: Josh Allen has set a two-game career high with 507 passing yards over his past two games...This is the first time three Bills scored a rushing TD since October 2016 (Mike Gillislee, Tyrod Taylor and Jonathan Williams)...This is Allen's first two-game win streak of his career -- although it's technically at three games dating back to the 2018 season...The Bills are now the first team to play (and beat) the Jets and Giants on the road in consecutive weeks to start a season

My favorite quote from the locker room, courtesy of Bills' safety Jordan Poyer, who picked Giants QB Eli Manning off late in the 4th quarter. I asked Poyer how the defense's mentality changes when playing with a two-score lead: "You're able to kind of disguise things and mess the quarterback up. I'm still not sure why he threw that post ... He just wanted to launch one, thinking -- I'm really not sure what Eli was thinking, but he threw it."

Highlighted by Josh Allen's first-career 200-yard passing performance in a single half, the Bills shook off a sieve-like defensive series to start the game and rattled off 21 unanswered points on what looks like a hapless Giants team. He completed 15-of-20 passes for 210 yards and a touchdown as Buffalo built a 21-7 halftime lead, holding the Giants to 90 total yards following the 75-yard opening drive.

Lot of people rightfully want to discuss Buffalo's matchup with Saquon Barkley, but Giants TE Evan Engram, alone, had more receptions and yards last year than opposing TEs had vs the Bills, combined. He lit up Dallas last week to the tune of 11-116-1; keep an eye on him out of the slot and in playaction -- New York likes to catch defenses sleeping by having Engram release from his blocks and flare out. Per ESPN Stats & Info, the Bills allowed the lowest reception pct to TEs in 2018 at 56%. They also faced the 3rd-fewest targets to TEs (88) and allowed the fewest rec yards to TE (512). Should be a fun matchup to watch today.

Bills rookie LB Dodson suspended 6 games

Bills rookie linebacker Tyrel Dodson was suspended six games for a violation of the league's personal conduct policy, the team confirmed Thursday.

Two main takeaways from the Bills 17-16 win over the Jets: First, Josh Allen is trending upward. There were the fumbles, the interceptions and the near-interceptions, but ultimately he figured it out in time to execute three straight scoring drives and win the game. Once the Bills started running the ball, the field seemed to open up a bit for him... And speaking of the run game, Devin Singletary should be the Bills' three-down back from this point forward. He racked up 98 total yards in essentially a single quarter -- on just 9 touches. He did get the start but it would be surprising if he is not a focal point of this offense as its most dynamic playmaker. Frank Gore can still be effective as a change-of-pace back but Singletary looks special.
