Practice was a little more energetic for the Titans today. Offense started slow but a catch by Tajae Sharpe got things going for them. Defense still looked good. More balanced today as far as offense vs. defense.

A few takeaways from Day 1 of Titans minicamp: 1. WR A.J. Brown took part in some of the individual period. He went through ladder drills and worked on releases with WR coach Rob Moore. Brown was posted next to Corey Davis whenever Davis wasn't on the field for all other parts of practice. 2. The offense overall looked off. Marcus Mariota was late on a deep out to Corey Davis and LeShaun Simms broke up the pass. He was also nearly picked off when he targeted Mycole Pruitt along the hashes. They worked on mostly short to intermediate routes but the defense seemed to have the better day. 3. The DBs especially looked good today. Mike Jordan had a pass breakup and interception on consecutive plays. Dane Cruikshank and Malcolm Butler dropped would be INTs but did a good job getting into position to make the plays. Simms was also a standout. 4. Jack Conklin and Jonnu Smith came out after practice to get some work in on a far field. 5. Jeffery Simmons spoke for the first time and said he's getting a lot of work in the classroom while trying to stay sharp mentally despite not being on the field. He's continuing to rehab and doesn't have a definitive answer regarding playing this season.

A few takeaways from OTAs today: 1. Rookie WR A.J. Brown pulled up after working on release against DB Mike Jordan during individual period. Brown grabbed at his hamstring before he tried to walk it off but couldn't and left the field. He reappeared after practice and seemed to be all right. 2. Tajae Sharpe had a solid day. He caught everything that came his way including a couple of lasers from Marcus Mariota in red zone 7 on 7. Sharpe also caught a well-placed pass in the back of the end zone from Ryan Tannehill. 3. Mariota had another solid day. He opened team period with a bomb to Taywan Taylor on a post route. Mariota also hit Cam Batson on a seam route that was perfectly placed between multiple defenders. 4. Adoree Jackson got some more work in on the sandpit. He said the minor procedure he had was a result of something that happened towards the end of last season but it's nothing to be concerned with. Jackson is excited to work in the sandpit because it reminds him of the days when he used to do track workouts on the sand. 5. Harold Landry spoke to the media after practice. He clearly put in some extra time in the weight room. Landry says he's 255 lbs which is up from his playing weight last year. He's worked on some new moves to compliment his speed off the edge.

A.J. Brown came out after practice and was walking without a limp. He pulled up earlier but didn't seem to have an issue as he walked around after team stretch.
