Joe Launchbury has provided Eddie Jones with a much needed injury boost after being declared fit for England's second Test against South Africa.

Launchbury missed the opening encounter at Ellis Park after sustaining a calf problem in training, but the Wasps captain will be fit to take to the field as Jones' side look to recover from their first Test defeat.

"Joe Launchbury trained today and trained well," said England forwards coach Steve Borthwick.

"He's done a great job with his rehabilitation and is available for selection."

Launchbury is set to slot straight back into Jones' starting XV -- likely partnering Maro Itoje in the second row in Bloemfontein.
