Tottenham have been warned after falling foul of the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) over promotion of their new stadium.
The ad in question, which was displayed on screens around the London Underground, boasted that Spurs' new ground would be the only venue in the capital where fans would be able to watch live Champions League football.
Commissioned several months ago, the ad was originally intended as a cheeky dig at rivals Arsenal and Chelsea, both of whom are playing in the Europa League this season.

However, in an ironic turn of events, images of the ad began to circulate on social media in the aftermath of Spurs' defeat against Inter Milan -- a result which left Mauricio Pochettino's side on the brink of Champions League elimination with their new 62,000-seater stadium still unfinished and yet to open.
This reportedly led to two people -- including an anonymous Arsenal fan -- taking sufficient umbrage with the claim to report Spurs to the ASA, who duly issued the latter club with a caution over the "misleading" tag line used as it breached Article 3.1 of their code.
According to the London Evening Standard, Spurs have been spared a full investigation but have been served with an advice notice that warns them against "making claims in future advertising that they cannot fulfil" to avoid disappointing customers.
After all, they can do that all on their own.
Following their 2-1 win over PSV Eindhoven at Wembley -- their temporary home -- Spurs must win at home to Inter to remain in contention for a place in the knockout phase, and will then likely need at least a point away to Barcelona.
